Another great turn out for the CFY. Again had long lines all day and the fish cleaners were always busy. WE DO THESE FISH TANKS TO PROMOTE YOUTH PROGRAMS.

There were two winners in the 2017 powder – puff derby; Crystal Neiley and Jaci Jones. Crystal’s King/Chinook was the largest, Jaci’s fish was the runner up. There were only 5 entrants in the contest, probably because of high winds and big waves. The two captains was Ron Eaton and Dave Heyt brought all contestants back to shore safely.
We were in Holland today presenting one of our trout ponds. Everybody seemed to be having a great time and, I’m told, that everybody went home with fish. Now that’s CATCHING !

What a day it was!
We had 13 entrants in this Spring’s River-Surf Tournament and, although we’ve heard that the Steelhead fishing has been great, today was not one of those days. Only two of our entrants brought in fish to the weigh-in and, therefore, only 1st and 2nd places were awarded.
Congratulations to Dan Galdeen with a beautiful 31-3/4 inch, 11 lb 11-1/2 oz Steelhead. Logan Moore’s 27-3/4 inch Steelhead was also a beauty and weighed in at 7 lb 3-1/2 oz.
To the rest of our fishermen… Better luck next time… maybe in November?
